Note Completion คืออะไร
Note Completion คือ ประเภทคำถาม (Question Type) รูปแบบหนึ่งของการสอบ Reading IELTS โดยข้อสอบจะมี Passage ให้อ่านและให้ผู้สอบตอบคำถามโดยการเติมคำตอบที่ถูกต้องลงไปในช่องว่างที่โจทย์กำหนดให้ ซึ่งมักจะอยู่ในรูปแบบของโน้ตย่อต่าง ๆ ซึ่งข้อสอบ IELTS Reading จะให้เวลาทำข้อสอบทั้งหมด 60 นาที ในการสอบแต่ละครั้งอาจจะเจอคำถามหลากหลายรูปแบบ ไม่ว่าจะเป็นแบบ Note Completion, Multiple choices, Matching Sentence, Matching Features, Matching Headings, Matching information, Short answer questions, Sentence Completion, Summary information, Yes/No/Not Given, True/False/Not Given และ Table Completion

ข้อสอบ IELTS Reading แบบ Note Completion นั้น จะมีคำสั่งให้เราเติมคำลงไปในช่องว่าง ซึ่งสิ่งที่ต้องระมัดระวังก็คือ ข้อสอบจะกำหนดจำนวนคำมาด้วยว่าต้องเขียนกี่คำ ดังรูป
เทคนิคการทำข้อสอบ Note Completion ใน IELTS Reading
การทำข้อสอบ IELTS Reading แบบ Note Completion นั้น ผู้สอบสามารถนำเทคนิคเหล่านี้ไปใช้ได้
- อ่านโน้ตอย่างรวดเร็วว่ามีเรื่องอะไรบ้าง
- พยายามจับใจความสำคัญหรือ Keyword ของโน้ตแต่ละข้อที่อยู่ในข้อสอบ เช่น ชื่อ สถานที่ และตัวเลข ตลอดจนคำนาม กริยา และคำคุณศัพท์
- สแกนหา Keyword จากใน Passage ที่โจทย์ให้มา แต่หลาย ๆ ครั้ง ใน Passage นั้นอาจจะใช้คำหรือวลีอื่นแต่ความหมายเหมือนกัน ดังนั้น อาจจะต้องให้ความสำคัญกับเรื่องนี้ด้วย
- อ่าน Passage อย่างระมัดระวัง โดยเฉพาะเมื่อเจอจุดที่น่าจะเป็นคำตอบ ลองอ่านทบทวนดูอีกครั้งเพื่อความชัวร์
- คำตอบอาจจะไม่ได้อยู่ในตำแหน่งที่เรียงตามข้อคำถาม และคำตอบก็จะอยู่ใน Passage อย่างแน่นอน นั่นหมายความว่าเราต้องไม่ใส่ความคิดเห็นของตัวเองลงไป
เกณฑ์คะแนนข้อสอบ IELTS Reading
คะแนนสอบของ IELTS พาร์ท Reading ไม่ว่าผู้สอบจะเจอคำถามแบบ Note Completion หรือแบบอื่น ๆ คะแนนดิบจากการทำข้อสอบจะถูกแปลงไปเป็นระบบ Band Score ที่มีคะแนนเต็ม 9.0 โดย IELTS Reading มีการคิดคะแนน ดังนี้
