IELTS True, False, Not Given คือออะไร
True, False, Not Given คือ ประเภทคำถาม (Question Type) รูปแบบหนึ่งของการสอบ Reading IELTS โดยข้อสอบจะมี Passage และประโยคมาให้ แล้วให้ผู้สอบตอบคำถามว่าประโยคเหล่านั้นควรเป็น True, False หรือ Not Given ซึ่งข้อสอบ IELTS Reading จะให้เวลาทำข้อสอบทั้งหมด 60 นาที ในการสอบแต่ละครั้งอาจจะเจอคำถามหลากหลายรูปแบบ ไม่ว่าจะเป็นแบบ True/False/Not Given, Yes/No/Not Given, Summary information, Sentence Completion, Short answer questions, Note Completion, Multiple choices, Matching Sentence, Matching Features, Matching Headings, Matching information และ Table Completion

ข้อสอบ IELTS Reading แบบ True, False, Not Given นั้น จะให้ผู้สอบตอบคำถามว่าประโยคที่โจทย์กำหนดมาควรจะเป็น True , False หรือ Not Given โดย
- ให้ตอบ True เมื่อข้อความนั้นสอดคล้องกับมุมมองหรือข้อมูลใน passage
- ให้ตอบ False เมื่อข้อความนั้นขัดแย้งกับมุมมองหรือหรือข้อมูลใน passage
- ให้ตอบ Not Given เมื่อไม่มีข้อมูลใด ๆ ที่จะบ่งบอกได้ หรือไม่มีทางรู้ได้เลย

เทคนิคการทำข้อสอบ True, False, Not Given ใน IELTS Reading
การทำข้อสอบ IELTS Reading แบบ True, False, Not Given นั้น ผู้สอบสามารถนำเทคนิคเหล่านี้ไปใช้ได้ คือ
1. อย่าใช้ความคิดเห็นส่วนตัวในการเลือกคำตอบ แต่ให้อิงจากข้อมูลใน passage เท่านั้น
2. some, all, mainly, often, always, and occasionally คำเหล่านี้ไม่ควรมองข้าม เพราะอาจทำให้ความหมายเปลี่ยนไปได้เลย
3. คำตอบที่ถูกต้องมักจะมีทุกแบบอยู่ในชุดคำถามนั้น คือ มักจะมีทั้ง True, False, Not Given
4. ในขณะที่อ่าน ต้องพยายามทำความเข้าใจด้วยว่า passage นี้ต้องการสื่อถึงอะไร
5. พยายามมองหา synonyms และ paraphrases คำถามกับเนื้อหาใน passage ด้วย เพราะหลาย ๆ ครั้ง ข้อสอบไม่ได้ใช้คำเดียวกัน แต่จะนำคำพ้องความหมายมาใช้แทน
6. หากพยายามหาข้อมูลแล้วแต่ไม่พบ นั่นหมายถึงคำตอบอาจจะเป็น Not Given เพราะฉะนั้น อย่าใช้เวลาคิดหรือจมกับข้อใดข้อหนึ่งนานจนเกินไป
7. ตำแหน่งของคำตอบจะเรียงไปตามลำดับของคำถาม
เกณฑ์คะแนนข้อสอบ IELTS Reading
คะแนนสอบของ IELTS พาร์ท Reading ไม่ว่าผู้สอบจะเจอคำถามแบบ True, False, Not Given หรือแบบอื่น ๆ คะแนนดิบจากการทำข้อสอบจะถูกแปลงไปเป็นระบบ Band Score ที่มีคะแนนเต็ม 9.0 โดย IELTS Reading มีการคิดคะแนน ดังนี้

1. = False
2. = Not Given
3. = True
